Aetheria
2025
Crete

In a remote Greek village, surrounded by olive groves and echoing with mythological whispers, Black Sky Society's Aetheria (Skylab01) is creating a sanctuary for those who dare to imagine expansive futures. We invite extraordinary individuals to join us in bridging the material and metaphysical, the technological and spiritual, the ancient and the yet-to-come.
Aetheria logo header
Aetheria is both a residency and an alchemical experiment. Here, among mountains that have witnessed millennia of human dreams, we'll explore the evolution of consciousness, fringe science, warp physics, and the emerging post-web. We seek those who believe in creating a world of wonder, resilience, peace, and liberation – visionaries who understand that true innovation must be rooted in spiritual wisdom.

Nestled in the Cretan landscape, our compound exists in superposition of past, present, and future. Mornings can be spent developing new knowledge protocols, evenings stargazing from our rooftop, and weekends exploring ancient Greek and Minoan sites. Our space offers both solitude for deep work and community for cosmic exploration.

If you feel called to merge spirituality with science, to bridge technology with ancient wisdom, and to weave personal transformation into collective liberation – we invite you to join our experiment.

VIBE & SETTING

Aetheria offers the right atmosphere for deep work to meet spiritual exploration. Read a book on physics or philosophy in sun bed in the yard, do rooftop yoga at dusk, co-work with others, or remote work from a desk in your room: Aetheria is designed to accommodate many paths.
Books at Aetheria
  • Morning tea time where all residents enjoy tea while sharing updates on their life or projects
  • Weekly salons where residents can debate or go deep on intriguing topics of interest
  • Shared topic sessions for those that want to present what they're working on, or any subject they're interested in
  • Occasional virtual or in-person seminars by Conduits on relevant topics
  • Monthly group activities and experiments, such as remote viewing, contacting UAPs, breathwork, and lunar synchronization
  • The village is very remote: it has no restaurants or grocery stores in walking distance and limited delivery options, so residents should be comfortable spending the majority of the time at the residence, having shared meals.
  • Optional shared project(s) to be determined at the start of the cohort and worked on by everyone. Could be scientific or creative in nature (brain wave science leveraging EEGs, music videos, concept album, engineering a ritual, software tools, etc.)

CONDUITS (Summer '25)

Our Conduits provide guidance to residents through office hours, knowledge sessions, or specialized offerings. The current group joins us for Summer '25, and our Conduit list updates seasonally as contributors set their own timelines for involvement.

Giulio Prisco

Giulio Prisco

Giulio is a repented scientist who used to work at places like CERN and the European Space Agency. He repented because he doesn't like the Thou-Shalt-Not diktats of the bureaucrats of science that he finds so annoying. He prefers the Yes-You-Can encouragements of highly imaginative scientists and engineers. He calls himself an irrational mechanic in protest against the bureaucrats of science that worship a logically flawed and obsolete form of “rationality.” He is on a crusade to show that good science is compatible with our weirdest aspirations and wildest dreams.

Giulio is virtual-only, offering office hours on an ad hoc basis, and an Irrational Mechanics seminar during Aetheria Symposia I.
